The “Ties That Bond” event, marked its first inauguration, fostering connections between local mentors and mentees. Keynote speaker Barrett Carter kicked off the event, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees. Cascade Hills Church generously provided ties, allowing mentors to teach our young men the valuable skill of tie-tying. The event featured a lunch, music by a DJ, and impactful guest speakers, including Louis York, speaking on mental health and Dementrious Mcbride, speaking on financial literacy. We extend a special thanks to the Columbus Alphas, Columbus State University Collegiate-100, and author Christy Black Murrell for their support and contributions, including a book on affirmation provided by Christy.
